Watch out for: Charlotte Kalla on the 10 KM freestyle can take the gold from Marit. Swede Kalla can be a serious threat to Björgen in more events depending on how her form develops leading up to the Olympics compared to the all-time great Björgen. Swede Stina Nilsson is the favorite in the Sprint event even if Björgen participates in that one.

3. Lara Dahlmeier – Biathlon
Same thing as with Marit Björgen. Lara Dahlmeier will win gold medals in Pyeongchang. Only question is how many? Bet on Lara Dahlmeier here.

Watch out for: Bad form on Dahlmeier before the Olympics.

4. Martin Fourcade – Biathlon
The French athlete has been dominating the Biathlon for many years now and is the man to beat in Pyeongchang as well. It would be a big upset if Fourcade doesn’t bring back at least one olympic gold from the games. Bet on Martin Fourcade here.

Watch out for: Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Boe.

5. Mikaela Shiffrin – Slalom, Giant Slalom, Combined
The American won the gold already 4 years ago and has been the most dominant slalom skiier in the FIS World Cup in history ever since. Always a risk to make a mistake in Slalom and be out but best bet is Shiffrin winning by a second or two. Shiffrin also has a good chance to win the Giant Slalom and Combined events. Watch out for: Frida Hansdotter, Wendy Holdener and bad form on Shiffrin.

6. Marcel Hirscher – Slalom, Giant Slalom, Combined
Hirscher has been the best slalom skiier for many years now and is the clear favorite to win Slalom, Giant Slalom and Combined in Pyeongchang. Bet on Marcel Hirscher here.

Watch out for: The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen.
