Everton, one of the few clubs that were on fire during the transfer market and played some good football in a wet Wolverhampton. Clearly, there were some serious problems with the team’s defense and the red card of Jagielka made the victory in the first game difficult. Will the Merseyside squad get their first three-pointer this weekend?

Southampton is one of the clubs that I have predicted to play in the Championship next season. A 0-0 draw against Burnley in the opening game is not a great result. Burnley is really strong at Turf Moore but away games, Burnley’s stats aren’t best. The team should have won it, to be honest. But Southampton has lost their perhaps best player, Tadic to Ajax and haven’t really improved the squad that much. Southampton will have a difficult season ahead of themselves.

Everton or rather Richardlison had a good game at Wolves. The game ended in a 2-2 draw but there were many positives. The team didn’t include some of their newer recruitments (Bernard, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes) in the game last weekend but now with Jagielka suspended, Mina will most likely start this game against Southampton. The biggest problem for Everton at the moment is that the best player on the pitch last game, the Brazilian Richardlison is doubtful to be featured in the squad due to an injury sustained against Wolves. According to Metro, he should be fit and included in the squad against Southampton but maybe Silva won’t risk a more serious injury and will rest the youngster.

Even with or without the Brazilian, Everton should win it at Goodison Park. Everton will be victorious.
