Roger Federer just won his 3R match at Wimbledon in straight sets against Lucas Pouille of France. With the win the 20-time Grand Slam winner became the first man or woman to reach 350 match wins in Grand Slam singles event’s.
Federer’s 350th match win in Grand Slam
With 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 Federer came through in just over 2 hours against the Australian Open semi finalist Lucas Pouille. Pouille held a break point at 5-5 in the first set and Federer said after the match this was the crucial moment. In set two Federer was cruising and in the third set he was in full control of the tiebreak. Pouille performed really good but the 8-time Wimbledon champion was just too good.
Roger Federer is the first man in history to reach 350 match wins at Grand Slam level. This was his 98th win at Wimbledon in his 21 straight appearance at SW19.
