Roger Federer just crashed out in his first match of the 2018 Miami Open. The big hitting young Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis defeated Federer and one result of this upset is that Rafael Nadal will be world number one again after the Miami tournament is finished. This was also the first time since 2014 that Federer lost two matches in a row.
The shock defeat of the reigning champion opens up the draw on the top half and now anybody could reach the finals. The 21 year old super talented Kokkinakis who has a career high ranking of 69 is one contender. Alexander Zverev and Nick Kyrgios is maybe the best bets for reaching the final from the top of the draw.
