French Open Betting Tips – Winner
1. RAFAEL NADAL – the 10 time winner at Roland Garros is of course the big favourite for yet another title in the French capital. With titles in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome this spring only a injury could stop Nadal. Last year he lost only 35 games during the tournament and one bet on Nadal this year could also be that he wont lose a single set for the 4th time. BET ON RAFAEL NADAL here
2. ALEXANDER ZVEREV – the 21 year old German is the first challenger to Nadal. Zverev has won Munich and Madrid on clay and yesterday he pushed Nadal into a decider in the final of Rome having been a break up in the third set before rain caused a delay and Nadal came back firing to win his 8th Rome title. 3. DOMINIC THIEM- the Austrian clay court specialist is the only one that have managed to beat Nadal during this years European clay court swing. In the Madrid quarterfinals he put an end to Nadal´s record 50 sets in a row winning streak. Thiem also caused Nadal his last upset on clay before the 50 set in a row streak, last year in Rome. BET ON DOMINIC THIEM here
4. NOVAK DJOKOVIC – the former world number one showed glimpses of his best form in Rome reaching the semifinals and pushing Nadal in 2 though sets altough Nadal was in control the whole match. If Djokovic can increase his speed in his groundstrokes just a notch in Paris he is of course a contender for the title. Djokovic has beaten Nadal more times on clay then anyone else, won Paris 2016 and has 4 titles in Rome on his CV. BET ON DJOKOVIC here
Nadal is the Huge favourite with the above challengers as the only small threats for his 17th Grand Slam title. If Nadal should not succeed in defending his title he will lose the number one spot in the ATP rankings to Roger Federer. Federer does not play any tournaments on clay this year and will be back on tour for the grass season where he is defending 2 500 ATP ranking points from last years titles in Halle and Wimbledon.
FRENCH OPEN FINALISTS BEST BETS
Rafael Nadal vs Alexander Zverev is the safe bet for this years finalists in the French Open on Roland Garros. Nadal has lost two matches on clay for the last 12 months and won Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome before the French Open. Zverev is by far the second best clay court player this year with his wins in Munich and Madrid and final in Rome.
