Predictions Djokovic vs Agut Western & Open Semifinals 2020

Predictions Djokovic vs Agut Western & Open Semifinals 2020. Today it’s semifinals time in Western & Southern Open in New York. Here are our predictions and the best betting odds from UK bookie William Hill.

Predictions Djokovic vs Agut Western & Open Semifinals 2020

At first glance you might think this is another easy win for the world number one from Serbia…but be aware of the fact that last year the Spaniard Bautista Agut won the pair’s first two meetings in the Doha semifinals and in the round of 16 in Miami. In both these meetings Djokovic won the first set but lost in the decider. In both those tournaments Djokovic was struggling with his form before he faced the world number 12 Agut.

So how about now?

– Djokovic is in the semifinals without dropping a set but has not faced any really tough opponents yet
– Bautista Agut is in the semis after beating strong guys like Khachanov and Medvedev

This might indicate problems for the world number one tonight. His opponents in New York so far is Berankis, Sandgren and Struff and they don’t have the qualities to ever pose a threat to the Serb. On the other hand, Djokovic has a perfect 21-0 record this year going into this semifinal. Djokovic is looking to finish the year without losing a match, getting to 19 Grand Slams and a record equaling 6th year-end number one (tied with Pete Sampras) so he has all the motivation he needs to be razor sharp from the start today.

Best Bet Djokovic vs Agut

We are betting on Djokovic being focused from the start today and playing at his very best he should win this one in straight sets. The odds is of course not very good at 1.17 your money but if you bet on straigth sets you get 1.56 from UK bookie William Hill.

If you would like better odds 5.20 on a Agut victory is really good and 10.50 on Agut in 3 sets is even more attractive…
