Premier League 2018/2019: Chelsea – Preview, Squad, and Signings
Who would have thought the Conte would be fired just after two years at the club? The Italian made the team win the league in his first season. Sure, the second wasn’t that great and there were constant disagreements with the owner regarding signings. Will the new manager Sarri improve or is this just a too big of a gamble?
The last couple of years has been a real roller coaster for Chelsea Football Club. The club has been named champions two times in the last five years and the other years, the team has flopped massively. Both Conte and Mourinho have been sacked and now it is time for Sarri to make the top management happy. Most likely, the team will keep Eden Hazard and together with Kante, Willian, and new signing Jorginho, the team will gain from the fresh blood on the manager spot. Sarri preaches a game plan with high intensity and offensively oriented. It will be fun to watch the club this season.
So what are the odds on Chelsea winning the league? Well, this won´t be the year at least. The team is miles behind Manchester City and Liverpool but could get the third place though. Meanwhile, fourth place is a solid bet.
