Todays final was won in four sets against world number 4 Dominic Thiem. The 25-year old Austrian played his very best tennis in the first two sets and had 81% first serves in the first set and an unreal 90% in the second. That helped him grab his first set at Roland Garros against Nadal in their fourth meeting. At the start of third set Nadal found a new gear and dominated the “Dominator” for an easy 6-1 third set. The fourth set was almost as easy as the third and Thiem didn’t have the strength to match Nadal either physically nor mentally.
