Finally, we have come to group F consisting of Germany, Sweden, Mexico, and South Korea. Let´s start off with the team that crushed all their opponents during their qualification with ten wins. Of course I am speaking of Germany, a team that currently is ranked number one in the world.

The only goal for Germany in Russia is to defend their title. Looking back to 2014, especially after beating Brazil with 7-1 in the Semifinal, no one could argue that they did not deserve to win the title. With a lot of returning players, Germany brings a mixture of new talent and experience into the world cup 2018. However, I wonder why their coach Joachim Löw decided to leave out Leroy Sané. Sané has been one of the best players in premier league this year and he helped City to win the title by scoring 10 goals and having 15 assists. Further, being rewarded PFA Young Player of the Year Award; Sané will with no doubt be missed in Russia.

With or without Sané, Germany still have an amazing squad with world-class players on every position. I believe that Germany will go far into the tournament and deliver like always. A solid bet is that Germany will win the group on 9 points and at least make it to the semi-final.
